Futura In Bangkok “Pioneers leave directions”

On what must be the final leg of the promotion tour for the latest instalment of the Hennessy artist series, Futura made a stop in Bangkok at the trendy Bad Motel in Thonglor, a sick venue that's themed as though it has suffered from some form of natural disaster falling apart bit by bit with fragmented walls and interior decor that suits the name perfectly, only to host what some would say is the godfather of graffiti and his latest project.   The interior transformed into part art gallery, with Futura's infamous pointman on display and a part interactive bar area fully equipped with a digital graffiti screen allowing event goers to leave their mark. Bukruk Street Art Festival: Work In Progress

On Tuesday we braved the scorching heat of Bangkok and embarked on the Bukruk Festival trail armed with nothing but bottles of water and our cameras slung over our shoulders to discover the work of Thai and European street artists that have been drafted in to take over the city.
