Built in the early millennium Bed Supperclub quickly became renowned as playing a huge part of Bangkok delving into the cultural innovations of the western world and its easy to see why, whilst walking down the long street of fairly modern Thai buildings you would be forgiven if you mistook Bed Supperclub as a prop building for the filming of the latest Hollywood sci-fi movie.   Once governed through the process of gaining entrance to the club and entering the space age pod structure you are hit with a strikingly white interior and invited to relax on pristine white beds that line the inner walls of the pod whilst Art installations are projected on the main walls reacting to the sound [...] Read more

Synonymous with football hooligans and drug dealers, Stone Island managed to get away from the stigma they have attracted in recent years and have produced a shoe that wouldn't go a miss as a staple piece accompanying any genre of style, mixed in against some high fashion garments, be seen on the feet of highland trekkers and could easily have be seen worn by the late Steve Jobs. Stone Island have managed to give an upper market feel to the silhouette thus enhancing its universal appeal, incorporating noteworthy details and materials with military-spec satin weave cotton, reflective polyester and a molded rubber N emblem.   Although being crafted in the Flimby plant down to trademark issues [...] Read more

Sun, Sand & Air

Although we’ve had a cold start to our spring, Nike have imported the heat from Brazil to our feet with this vibrant pack of Air Max models, drawing inspiration from the energetic vibes and colours of Rio and its surrounding beaches.   Engineered Mesh is ripe throughout, making five of our favourite silhouettes that little bit lighter and additionally breathable, whilst the minimal stitching nature of the material means that the multiple panels usually found on the models have been replaced by a variation of perforations and colour tones, allowing the exotic colour blocking to look more natural.   Now there rarely comes a time that we like every piece of a collection but after spending [...] Read more

Stores of Siam Vol. 1 I Welcome To The Streets.

Posted on March 29, 2013

Upon deciding to spend a few months in Thailand, mainly Bangkok to be exact we immediately grabbed the nearest internet enabled device we could get our hands on and what followed was hours on hours of burying our heads researching what Bangkok has to offer. We very quickly discovered that Siam and the surrounding areas where the places to be in terms of retail spaces, heck someone somewhere even alikedned it to Tokyo's Harajuku and once that comparison was made we couldn't resist. Upon exploring the area we decided there was no time like the present to put our twist on the iconic 'store guide' series to profile the emphusiasm and passion of the retailers here as well as what unique products [...] Read more

Topsafe Presents: Horfée’s Imaginarium

Posted on March 21, 2013

Topsafe London are currently exhibiting the works of everyone’s favourite Parisian vandal, Horfe, for his debut show in London at a pop-up space at no.4 Wilkes Street.   Whilst his show may be seen as yet another venture of a writer into the world of art, a move that is often readily met with disapproval, it is instead one that perhaps highlights the creative capacity of someone who is able to break from such trappings with little concern for criticism. Horfe’s ever-eclectic hand-style, a mixture of vintage animations and cartoon art that merge into obscure lettering, is seen here to seamlessly translate into artworks that fit comfortably within the space of a gallery. Such a move [...] Read more
