During a surge of repetitive releases, the guys over at Sneaker Freaker have kept it fresh by putting their touch on a trainer that’s just recently re-emerged back into the trainer scene, the Flash, a running model that was originally released back in 1990 and to our knowledge hasn’t seen a re-release until now.
We’d previously mentioned in our London Store Opening post that Le Coq Sportif has come back with a bang and we’re sure a lot of people would agree with that as their on-going collaborative work is only raising awareness of the 130 year old French brand more and more on a global level and submerging itself into the minds of trainer connoisseurs and collectors alike, anyways let’s get back to talking about the trainers.
For this collaboration Sneaker Freaker drew inspiration from ‘Summer Bay’ the fictional town in the Australian hit TV show Home & Away, using a mixture of bright pastel colours that are in-keeping with the 90’s heritage of the model as well as a representation of the beautiful sun adorned beaches of Sydney.
As expected the materials and details are on point, the upper is made up of nylon mesh and Nubuck and dual branded detailing can be found on the front and reverse of the tongue tags. Each pair also comes with a matching tote bag so you can represent in style amidst your daily routine.
Numbers were mad limited on this one (We heard 300 pairs worldwide) so don’t be surprised when we tell you that they’ve already sold out. Look on the bright side though, the Foot Patrol Eclats and the SF Flash are only tasters of what’s to come, so keep your eyes peeled.
