Parisian Crepes

Posted on July 7, 2013

Two weeks ago we flew out to Paris for a weekend of trainers, food, beer and more trainers and whilst we were there we also broke our Solemart virginity.   Before we arrived we weren't too sure what to expect in terms of variety and to be honest we were expecting to see loads of tables full of recent retro's and collaborations but we were completely wrong, sure there was the new release here and there but the old outweighed the new by a ton and there was also a good mix of clothing, toys and accessories on display as well.   Whilst some of the other events we've been to in the past have been very Nike heavy, we were refreshed to spot the likes of Brooks, Avia and Spalding throughout [...] Read more

Le Coq Sportif à Londres

Posted on June 5, 2013

Two weeks ago Le Coq Sportif hosted an in-store event to promote the launch of their new Concept store in Covent Garden, London, which we were kindly invited to attend.   After we were done taking pictures we indulged in the extremely tasty food that was downstairs, alongside some beer of course, and then had a good browse around the store checking out their current collection. Later on in the evening we found out that the French brand is 130 years old this year , making it one hell of an old company with a lot of history behind it and to celebrate this they unveiled a sculpture of bicycle tires made by the Wilson brothers representing the brands long term cycling heritage.   The store [...] Read more

Goodhood Life Store Launch

Posted on March 10, 2013

Since 2007 the Goodhood name has been one of constant praise and all of that praise is rightly due as most independent companies would find it hard to stay open for a year let alone nearly 6, and to say that the company has grown during those years is a vast understatement. Due to their carefully curated range of clothing and products, not to mention their impeccable customer service, the store has gained a loyal following and since their inception we've seen the addition of a second floor and their new Life Store literally just across the road.   After a tiring and repetitive day at work it was nice to walk up the cobbled street in Hoxton to be greeted by free beers and a newly opened [...] Read more

Since 2002, the guys at Solebox have been supplying limited and exclusive trainers and clothing to enthusiasts and collectors worldwide, making our wardrobes and footwear that little bit fresher and our bank balances smaller. Over the years the team of brothers have worked with more than a handful of their favourite brands, creating a collection of extremely sought after trainers along the way, all of which are showcased in Perspex boxes surrounding the walls in their beautiful store in West Berlin.   Solebox teamed up with Saucony for the first time in 2008, creating their own version of the 1981 classic the Jazz and the two brands have collaborated every year since, using a mix of [...] Read more
